Job summary

Jefferson Health in Cherry Hill, NJ, is seeking a Food Service Associate to provide patient meals and support food service operations with rotating shifts. You will set up stations, retrieve meals, follow sanitation guidelines, and help ensure timely, nutritious meals for patients.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 6+ months' experience in food service preferred but not required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and stocks assigned station prior to service to facilitate meal service and efficiency.
• May retrieve patient meal trays to ensure sanitary, safe and timely service.
• Handles food according to proper sanitary and safety guidelines and follows policies.
• May prepare or serve hot or cold beverages and bakery items for patients and cafeteria.
• Stores leftovers appropriately and utilizes them the next day/menu to ensure timely service.
• May be cross-trained to perform multiple duties across tray line, storeroom and food prep areas.
