Job summary

Mercy Health’s Nutrition Services team at St. Joseph Warren Hospital is seeking a Nutrition Services Associate to support patient meal service. The role emphasizes accurate meal assembly, timely delivery, and safe food handling while delivering friendly patient-focused service.

The position is full-time (32 weekly hours) with days/evenings shifts and rotating weekends and holidays. Training is provided, with opportunities to grow within Mercy Health’s support services.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED preferred.
• No experience required; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous food industry or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assembles and serves meals according to diet orders, menus and patient/guest specific requirements.
• Adheres to hand hygiene and infection control procedures on a consistent basis when interacting with patients and guests.
• Areas are restocked as needed to meet department demands.
• Performs sanitation for assigned work area in accordance with departmental procedures and health department guidelines.
• Ensures cooking and serving equipment is prewashed, washed and sanitized per department procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
