Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center is seeking a Food Service Prep Cook to join our Nutrition & Food Service team. You will prepare fresh, nutritious meals to support patients, visitors, and staff, working alongside experienced culinary professionals in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

You will follow recipes and portion standards, assist with patient meals, catering events, and special functions, and ensure food safety, sanitation, and quality across all service lines.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED with 1 year of full-time food service experience.
Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and perform food preparation and basic cooking duties.
Support patient meal service, retail operations, catering, and special events.
Follow standardized recipes, production sheets, and portion standards to ensure quality and consistency.
Assist with therapeutic diet requirements and food allergy accommodations.
Adhere to HACCP food safety, sanitation, and infection control standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen and work area.
Work collaboratively with Food Service leadership and the culinary team to deliver exceptional service.
