Blessing Health System is seeking Tray Line Assistants to assemble patient trays and assist in the dish room between meals. You will read tickets, verify diets, stock items, and help with dish washing and tray delivery using an iPad to manage tray status.
We expect physical stamina for up to an 8-hour shift, and adherence to food safety standards. The role is non-exempt hourly with competitive benefits including retirement matching and wellness access.

Tray Line Assistants are responsible for:
Tray Line Assistants work on their feet for the majority of an 8 hour shift. They may be required to bend, stoop, kneel, squat, push and pull carts, lift and reach, lift and reach overhead, stand, walk, and twist repetitively throughout their shift. The Tray Line Assistant is required to fill a variety of stock ranging in weight from 5lbs to 50 lbs.
Tray Line Assistants are expected to provide a high level of satisfaction as it relates to the presentation and accuracy of patient orders. This position is directly responsible for preparing patient trays, stocking tray line area and maintaining a clean and sanitized work environment. The Tray Line Assistant is a highly visible representative of the Food and Nutrition Department and must exhibit all customer service standards as defined by the Food and Nutrition Department as well as those outlined and defined by Blessing Hospital mission and values.
Tray Line Assistants are required to have the following skills:
This position requires the ability to work many hours standing, reaching overhead, bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying. This position will work in the dish room during times between meal periods.
