Labcorp is seeking a Patient Intake Rep to join our team in Somers Point, NJ. Schedule patient appointments, greet patients, assist with registration, and ensure a welcoming environment while handling data entry and billing tasks.

The role requires strong customer service skills, data accuracy, and the ability to work in a team. Training is provided, and benefits apply for regular hours.

• Ability to work in a team and maintain accuracy.

Patient Intake Rep

Labcorp is seeking a Patient Intake Rep to join our team in Somers Point, NJ.

Work Schedule:

as needed Monday - Friday 8:00am – 2:00pm, with rotating Saturdays

Job Responsibilities:

• Schedule patient appointments and greet patients upon appointment arrival
• Ensure a welcoming environment for all patients and visitors
• Assist patients with registration and check in procedures
• Data entry of patient demographics and billing information
• Verification of insurance coverage and collect/post payments to patient accounts
• Collect and prepare specimens for testing and analysis when needed
• Call physician offices to confirm the accuracy of test orders
• Monitor and log patient wait times on a regular basis
• Notify the supervisor of any patient issues in a timely manner
• Promote and provide information about LabCorp patient services
• Manage office supplies to ensure proper inventory levels
• Open and close the office when necessary
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent 1 year or more of customer service experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• 1 year or more of patient facing healthcare experience

Additional Job Standards:

• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed
• Able to pass a standardized colorblindness test

Benefits:

• Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
• Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
