Job summary

HealthFund Solutions in Burleson, TX is seeking an Insurance Advocate who will enroll patients in ACA Marketplace plans and assess eligibility at our hospital facility. This onsite role runs Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 3:30pm CST, and requires compassion, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include guiding patients through enrollment, handling documentation, maintaining records in EMR systems, and staying current with ACA

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
• 1-2 years related experience.
• Knowledge of ACA marketplace, Medicaid, & commercial insurance terms preferred.
• Computer proficient; EMR/EHR experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and active auto insurance.
• Must complete hospital medical clearance and required vaccinations.

• Contact patients to assess financial and medical eligibility for coverage.
• Enroll patients in ACA marketplace plans and obtain required documentation.
• Guide patients through the enrollment process and assist with case issues.
• Perform bedside screenings when necessary.
• Manage a high volume of outreach calls.
• Document all activity in HealthFund Solutions, Hospital databases, and EMR systems.
• Stay up to date on ACA policies, procedures and certification requirements.
• Provide accurate and timely data to support reporting and tracking needs.
