Job summary

Just Associates, Inc. is seeking a Patient Identity Expert to research, validate, and update patient data within hospital information systems as part of an MPI data reconciliation project. This per diem, part-time role offers up to 25 hours per week and focuses on data accuracy, privacy, and HIPAA compliance.

You will gain experience in HIM data integrity, working with MPI tools, and hospital workflows while contributing to safer patient care. Remote work is supported with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 1+ years HIM experience preferred.
• Excellent data entry accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to work remotely and meet deadlines in a per diem schedule.

Responsibilities

• Collects designated information from hospital applications that affect merge planning and downstream tasks.
• Performs merges of duplicate medical record numbers in designated applications, following a standard procedure.
• Completes demographic updates to patient records during electronic merge processing.
• Performs self-monitoring to ensure high quality work is maintained.
• Collects daily productivity statistics and documents on appropriate forms if required.
• Completes other data entry tasks as required.
• Maintains accuracy of 98%+ on Merge Planning and 95%+ on Electronic Verification.
• Complies with client processes and JA company policies.
• Attends JA company staff meetings as scheduled.
