Job summary

Powers Health in Munster, Indiana is looking for a part-time Patient Guidance Attendant for valet services. You will greet patients, escort and transport guests, and ensure timely arrival to destinations within the hospital campus.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle parking, maintaining area cleanliness, stocking chairs and supplies, and delivering excellent guest service in a hospital setting. Shifts are daytime with rotating Saturdays.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license and insurance.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English with patients and staff.
• Comfort with greeting guests and delivering courteous service.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced hospital valet environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and provide legendary guest service and patient care at entrances.
• Practice safety standards while parking, escorting, transporting, and interacting with guests.
• Know property areas to get patients to their destinations on time.
• Provide top service while parking vehicles or guiding visitors to locations.
• Expedite parking, secure vehicles and maintain area cleanliness.
• Ensure wheelchairs and supplies are stocked for flawless service.

Powers Health is hiring for a part-time patient guidance attendant for valet services Monday-Friday with rotating Saturdays at Community Hospital in Munster, IN.

The Patient Guidance Attendant is required to greet patients and provide legendary guest service and patient care for individuals entering & exiting the entrances. The attendant practices safety standards while parking/retrieving, escorting, transporting, and interacting with guests and visitors, to ensure patient satisfaction.

Patient Guidance Attendant Roles and Responsibilities:

• Required to greet patients and provide legendary guest service and patient care for individuals entering & exiting the entrances.
• Practices safety standards while parking/retrieving, escorting, transporting, and interacting with guests and visitors, to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Knowledgeable of the different areas on the property and understands the importance of getting the patient there on time.
• Responsible for ensuring that they provide the best possible service while parking vehicles or escorting visitors to their desired locations.
• Responsible for expediting parking, securing vehicles and maintaining the overall cleanliness of the area as well.
• Ensures the area is stocked with wheelchairs and all supplies needed to provide flawless service.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Ability to drive manual transmission preferred.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license and a motor vehicle record that meets department requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years of age and has held the driver’s license for one year minimum.
• Must have valid vehicle insurance
• Ability to understand instructions and communicate with patients and staff.
• Must be able to speak, read and write standard English language, comprehend simple instructions and memos.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings.
