Job Summary

Location: Waterbury, CT

Facility: 300-bed Acute Care Hospital

Team Size: 22 Direct Reports

We seek an experienced Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services Team in an acute care hospital. The role involves executing company programs, leading the team, and maintaining high standards in patient meal services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement patient food service programs aligned with clinical guidance and patient needs
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and mentor a team of 22 staff
  • Ensure meals comply with medical diet orders and patient preferences
  • Monitor and improve patient satisfaction related to food services
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards, including HIPAA and patient rights
  • Participate in quality initiatives such as patient satisfaction programs and QAPI activities

Qualifications:

  • Associate degree with 1+ year experience in food services or related field, or
  • Bachelor’s degree in food service management or related field
  • Preferred: CDM, DTR, or RD certification
  • Minimum 1 year management experience in an acute care setting
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with electronic medical records and diet systems
