Job Summary: We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to oversee patient and retail food services at a 300-bed acute care facility within the Mount Sinai Health System in New York, NY. The role reports to the associate director of food service. The ideal candidate will have hospital food service experience, retail food service experience, and excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establish goals and oversee implementation of patient food service needs based on medical direction and patient population.
2. Hire, direct, coach, train, and develop patient service team members.
3. Ensure compliance with dietary restrictions and meet food preferences within diet order guidelines.
4. Assist in achieving patient satisfaction goals.
5. Comply with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accreditation agencies, while maintaining confidentiality and patient rights.
6. Participate in and lead patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications:

1. Associate degree with one year of food service experience or bachelor's degree in food service management or related field.
2. Preferred certifications include Certified Dietary Manager, Registered Diet Technician, or Registered Dietitian.
3. Minimum of one year of food service management experience in an acute care setting preferred.
4. ServSafe certification is desirable.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, electronic medical records, and diet management systems is required.
