Job Summary

We are seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services Team. Duties include planning and overseeing patient food assembly and service, scheduling, hiring, training, and evaluating staff. Ensures patient satisfaction and maintains positive public relations while efficiently managing resources.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Establishes goals and coordinates the implementation of patient food services needs based on medical direction and patient population.
2. Hires, directs, coaches, trains, and develops patient service team members to ensure a high level of performance.
3. Complies strictly with dietary restrictions on special or modified diets to ensure efficient food preferences are met within the guidelines of the diet order limitations.
4. Ensures patient services staff assists in achieving stated patient satisfaction goals and maintains positive public relations.
5. Aligns with regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies.
6. Participates in and leads patient satisfaction programs, departmental meetings, and facility-wide Quality Assurance/Performance Improvement programs to determine areas for improvement and successfully implement changes.

Qualifications:

1. Associate degree or equivalent experience in food services or a related field.
2. Certified Dietary Manager certificate, Registered Diet Technician, or Registered Dietitian is preferred.
3. Prior experience in food service management, preferably in a healthcare setting.
4. ServSafe certified is desirable.
5. Possess the necessary skills to effectively apply Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical record, and diet office systems.
