Griffin Hospital is seeking a Medical Receptionist for a full-time role in Southbury. The role provides front-desk coverage for outpatient practice sites, handling calls, scheduling, and patient check-in procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma or higher and at least five years of experience in a medical office, with knowledge of medical terminology, transcription, credentialing, billing, and insurance plans. Some college is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School or better.
• Five years experience in a medical office environment including a working knowledge of medical terminology, transcription, credentialing, billing/bookkeeping, insurance plans etc.

Responsibilities

• Provides office coverage for outpatient sites, coordinating activities and providing clerical support as receptionist.
• Enters charges and payments.
• May float to other GFP offices based on business need.
