Job summary

Piedmont Atlanta Hospital is seeking a Bed Control/Transfer Center Registered Nurse (BCTC RN) to coordinate and assign patient beds. The role involves evaluating and processing patient transfers while ensuring optimal patient flow and collaboration with various departments.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s in Nursing and 3 to 5 years of RN experience in an acute care setting. Proficiency in the EPIC EMR platform and essential certifications are required.

Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in an acute care setting.
• Experience in critical care or emergency/trauma preferred.
• Charge nurse or higher level of leadership experience/responsibility preferred.
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure required.
• BCLS - Basic Life Support through American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assign all beds at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital.
• Evaluate, coordinate, process, screen, and document patient transfers.
• Assess patients for optimal bed placement and immediate care level.
