Job summary

Northwestern Medicine in Alton, IL is seeking a full-time Phlebotomist to join our patient-centered laboratory team. This 40-hour-per-week role focuses on venipuncture collection and specimen processing.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or CMA certification or 1+ year phlebotomy in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

• Performs phlebotomy and lab specimen collections per department policies.
• Enters orders and verifies test results in multiple systems.
• Communicates with patients and ensures post-phlebotomy care.
• Maintains specimen labeling, processing, and timely transport.
