National Jewish Health in Glendale, CO is seeking an Account Representative to support the Patient Financial Services team on-site. You will manage accounts receivable, follow up on outstanding claims, and provide exceptional service to patients and payors.

The role requires problem solving, attention to detail, and knowledge of medical reimbursement processes. Responsibilities include billing, claim follow up, appeals, and account resolution, with regular communication with payors and patients.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required. Some college level course work preferred.
• Work Experience: A minimum of 2 years in hospital billing/collection/follow up, accounting and customer service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supports patient accounts receivable through billing, claim follow up, appeals, and account resolution.
• Maintains ability to read and comprehend payors’ claims adjudication vouchers, EOBs, and ERAs to confirm proper processing and reimbursement.
• Performs appeals of insurance denials and/or incorrect reimbursement and facilitates documentation submissions.
• Contacts insurance companies or clients to elicit payment promise or account resolution; may re-bill as needed.
• Responds to account inquiries from patients or insurers with timely information.
