PATIENT FINANCIAL SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE

Upper East Side/NYC, NY

East River Medical Imaging (ERMI) is an independent radiology center serving patients and referring providers for over four decades. About the Role

We are seeking an individual with an exceptional background in collections and customer service to join our Patient Financial Services team.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities include:

  • Ensure unpaid and partially paid balances are resolved efficiently, timely and within stated goals.
  • Collect patient balances and establish payment plans as needed.
  • Remind patients when payment plans are overdue.
  • Answer phones, respond to inquiries and triage calls.
  • Inform patients about the Patient Portal for registration and details of all services available.
  • Coordinate efforts with other internal teams.
  • Fulfill clerical responsibilities which may include sending/receiving/scanning medical records, hospital notes & referral information.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Organized and detail oriented with a focus on accuracy and thoroughness.
  • Proficiency using a Windows‑based computer and standard business applications including MS Excel, Word, and Internet Explorer/Chrome.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating tasks with other employees.
  • Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service, communication, and organization skills.
