BayCare Health System in Florida is seeking a Patient Financial Representative II for a full-time remote role. You will manage patient accounting tasks including billing, collections, customer service, and cash applications while documenting activity and responding to inquiries.

The position requires two years of patient accounts experience (or related fields); preferred is experience with DCF or other public assistance programs.

Qualifications

• 2 years of Patient Accounts experience or 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Experience with the Department of Children & Families (DCF) or other public assistance programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Handle patient accounting tasks including billing, collections, and cash applications.
• Document patient account activity and respond to billing inquiries.
• Post payments and monitor provider guidelines changes.
• Identify payer-specific trends and apply federal and state guidelines to collections.
• Follow up on Explanation of Benefits and maintain equipment records.

Position Details

• Location: Remote (must reside in Florida)
• Status: Full-time
• Shift: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Days: Monday through Friday

This Patient Financial Representative II opportunity is a full-time remote position. Team members must reside in Florida.

Responsibilities

The Patient Financial Representative II performs patient accounting functions including billing, collections, customer service, and cash applications, documents patient account activity, responds to customer billing inquiries, posts payments, implements billing guideline changes and identifies trends at a payer specific level, applies federal and state guidelines to collection efforts, interprets and follows up on Explanation of Benefits, inventories supplies, reports and tracks equipment maintenance, performs other duties as assigned.

Experience

• Required : 2 years of Patient Accounts experience or 2 years of experience in a related field.
• Preferred : Experience with the Department of Children & Families (DCF) or other public assistance programs.
