Job summary

SGS Consulting is seeking an experienced Billing Specialist to support hospital revenue cycle operations in Texas. You will handle billing, follow-up, and collections to ensure accurate claim submission and timely reimbursement.

The role requires strong knowledge of standard forms (UB-04, CPT/HCPCS) and excellent communication with patients, payors, and internal teams to resolve inquiries and drive account resolution. HS diploma with several years in hospital billing is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of hospital billing, collections, or Revenue Cycle experience preferred.

Skills:

• Strong knowledge of UB-04, HCFA 1500, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 with experience in hospital billing and collections.
• Proficient in cash reconciliation, claim edits, payor guidelines, and resolving denials or underpayments.
• Excellent verbal/written communication, attention to detail, and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced Revenue Cycle environment.

Education/Experience:

• HS Diploma or equivalent; 3–5 years of hospital billing, collections, or Revenue Cycle experience preferred.
