Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living in San Francisco, CA seeks a Patient Financial Coordinator to support financial clearance, eligibility assessment, and reimbursement processes. You will work with patients, families, and internal teams to ensure accurate financial information and a positive patient experience.

The role requires 3 years of healthcare experience in eligibility and insurance verification, knowledge of no surprises act and price transparency, and preferred PCC experience.

Qualifications

• 3 years of healthcare experience focusing on eligibility, insurance verification, and COB (preferably SNF).
• HIPAA, GFE, Price Transparency, No Surprises Act, Financial Assistance incl. Charity Care; HCAI knowledge preferred.
• Working knowledge of PCC preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive financial assessments prior to admission to determine eligibility and verify insurance.
• Collect and enter financial documents and identifiers into PCC after admission.
• Re-verify eligibility for transitional patients; coordinate with Authorization Coordinator as needed.
• Collect patient responsibility and develop compliant payment solutions.
• Assist with Medicaid, Charity Care, and other financial assistance applications.
