Job summary

Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute in Naples, FL seeks a Patient Financial Navigator to manage patients’ financial responsibilities and insurance benefits across OncoEMR and Centricity. You will verify coverage and assist with authorization workflows within a busy oncology finance team.

Ideal candidates have healthcare experience, strong communication, and in-depth insurance knowledge including ICD-10 codes and co-pay collection.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Insurance knowledge including medical terminology, managed care authorization, ICD-10 codes, and ability to calculate/collect patient responsibility and insurance co-pays.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and collect patients’ financial responsibilities; keep insurance benefits up to date in OncoEMR and Centricity.
• Review patient services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness.
• Perform daily managed care and patient financial navigator tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for monitoring and collecting the financial responsibilities of our patients. The Patient Financial Navigator must keep patients’ insurance benefits up to date in OncoEMR and Centricity and view the patients’ services for diagnosis and insurance coverage appropriateness. Also performs the daily tasks of Managed Care and Patient Financial Navigator

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a healthcare field, preferably in a clinical setting or business office is required.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills needed.
• Insurance knowledge requirements including: Understanding of medical terminology Managed care authorization process ICD10 codes Collection experience Ability to calculate and collect patients’ responsibility and insurance co-pay/coinsurance
