Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a patient-facing Financial Advocate in Illinois to assist uninsured and underinsured patients with Medicaid, Marketplace, and other financial assistance programs. The role requires collaboration with Care Management, Social Work, Nursing, and Eligibility teams to secure coverage and resources while supporting continuity of care. Hours are 40 per week, onsite, with schedules 8:00 a.m.

to 4:30 p.m. or 8:30 a.m.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HSED required.
• Typically 2 years of experience in Patient Access, health care, insurance, or customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide personalized financial responsibility estimates to patients.
• Explain deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments clearly.
• Request upfront payment and establish payment plans.
• Assist uninsured patients with Medicaid and other programs.
