Contentnea Health seeks a Patient Financial Services Specialist to ensure accurate billing and efficient collections, while guiding patients through financial options. The role includes ACA assistance, SFDP processing, and Medicaid support.

Qualifications

• Possesses a basic level of written and verbal communication skills, computational and computer skills, and mathematical knowledge.
• Possess specific knowledge of sliding fee and payer processes and practices.
• Current ACA Certified Application Counselor certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs the quality control function for patient accounts ensuring accurate billing and timely collection of patient co-payments and third‑party payments.
• Supports patients in meeting their financial obligations by providing financial information and assistance.
• Provides Good Faith Estimates to patients upon request.
• Assists patients with ACA health plans applications and Medicaid processes.
• Processes SFDP applications and re-certifications per departmental policy.
