Job summary

Providence Swedish is seeking a financial coordinator to identify and coordinate all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. You will handle patient relations and liaise with physicians regarding liabilities, while documenting responses to financial-service related needs in a timely, professional manner.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required, or additional experience may substitute for no degree.
• 3 years experience in patient financial services or medical billing in a hospital business office, or five years of experience without degree.

Identifies and coordinates all aspects of financial obligations for private pay patients. Including, but not limited to, patient relations, physician liaison regarding financial liabilities, deposit estimates and collection. Assures that customer needs and/or complaints related to financial services are responded to and documented in a timely and professional manner and in a way that supports organizational goals, system improvements and recovery strategies throughout the organization.
