Coquille Valley Hospital is seeking a Patient Financial Clearance Representative to work in the Coos Bay office. You will perform insurance verification, admissions pre-registration, and ensure authorizations are secured for various services.

The role requires strong communication, familiarity with payer requirements, and the ability to explain patient financial responsibilities. This is a full-time position at our Coos Bay, OR location, with opportunities for growth within the Revenue Cycle

Formación

• Experience in hospital or physician office settings preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.
• HFMA Revenue Cycle Certification preferred or may be obtained within first year.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, prior authorization and medical necessity checks.

Responsabilidades

• Pre-register patients and perform financial clearance for multiple patient types.
• Verify eligibility and benefit determinations across payer types.
• Process referrals and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Explain patient liabilities and collect co-pays, deductibles and deposits.
• Enter accurate demographic, clinical and insurance data into the patient accounting system.
