Financial Clearance Specialist (Insurance Coordinator)

6 month Contract to Hire (permanent after the first 6 months)

$19-$22/hour

Insight Global is hiring an Insurance Coordinator to support our healthcare client's team remotely. The Insurance Coordinator is a financial clearance specialist who handles pre-service insurance benefit and eligibility verification and authorizations.

Must Haves:

High School Diploma

2+ years of insurance coordinating experience (physician or hospital)

Experience with insurance claims and authorizations

Proficient with EMR/EHR systems

Proficient with Insurance payor portals

Must have experience supporting the Olympia, WA market

Plusses:

Specialty experience in Gastroenterology, Oncology, or Infusion

Responsibilities:

This team member will work provider schedules for upcoming appointments. They verify that the insurance information we have on file is effective and valid. They verify benefits for the scheduled service and obtain any required authorizations or referrals needed. They will also have the opportunity to speak to patients to obtain updated demographic information or answer any pre-service benefits questions.
