Job summary

The role supports the Interventional Pain Center and contributes to a patient-centered financial counseling team. The role emphasizes accurate data entry, thorough insurance checks, and compassionate interaction with patients while navigating funding

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2 years of relevant work experience preferred.
• Experience with insurance pre-certification, billing paperwork, and funding resources is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Obtains certification from insurance companies for all office visits.
• Verifies insurance information and registers cases in tracking system.
• Evaluates patient assets and liabilities to determine ability to pay.
• Reviews alternatives to admission and guides patient in applying for financial assistance.
• Completes pre-certification, credit applications, and other necessary paperwork.
• Performs investigative and follow-up work relating to reimbursement issues.
