Qualifications

• High school diploma or associate degree preferred.
• Three years of customer service experience.
• Patient scheduling experience preferred.
• Experience with computerized scheduling and patient registration systems.
• Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance information.

Responsibilities

• Greet and direct patients for appointments, tests, and referrals.
• Schedule patient appointments and test procedures using a scheduling system.
• Verify patient demographics, financial, and insurance information.
• Perform pre-registration and determine insurance coverage.
• Counsel patients on unpaid balances and anticipated costs.
• Collect payments and provide receipts.
• Print necessary forms and reminder cards.
• Coordinate with physicians and nursing staff to facilitate patient encounters.
• Answer inquiries about services and rules; review scheduling reports and cash deposits.
