Patient & Equipment Transporter, 32 hours, Evenings

Schedule Details: Holidays - Every Other Holiday, Weekends - Every Other Weekend

Scheduled Hours: 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM

Shift: 2 - Evening Shift, 8 Hours (United States of America)

The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Transporting patients throughout the hospital via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed. Verifying patient identity, ensuring safety and comfort, and providing handoff communication.
  2. Assisting nursing staff and lift techs with patient transfers, using appropriate equipment and infection control procedures.
  3. Delivering and maintaining transport equipment and vehicles, including cleaning and sanitizing.
  4. Transporting patient specimens, blood products, and contaminated equipment following infection control guidelines.
  5. Delivering medical records, pharmaceuticals, X-ray films, and other materials as needed.

Position Qualifications:

License/Certification/Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience/Skills:

  • Required: BLS certification within 6 months, proficiency in English, strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Preferred: Six months’ hospital experience.
