The Patient Engagement Specialist has a background in medical assisting and draws upon their clinical knowledge to work directly with patients in developing, implementing, and monitoring virtual programs on the GetWell Network to support their care. This role requires the use of analytical and communication skills to educate patients, advocating for the use of the GetWell Network to increase the effectiveness of care delivered by our facility. This individual must possess an understanding of the differing socio-cultural and health perspectives of each patient to effectively enroll patients into the network and to monitor how patients can best use the network to improve their self-care.

Position requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Good eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment is also required. Employee must have normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate reports and may need to lift up to 30 pounds.
