Job description

Job Description:

The Patient Engagement Manager is responsible for overseeing the execution of patient engagement programs aimed at improving patient experience, satisfaction, and health outcomes. This role focuses on managing patient-centered initiatives and developing strategies that encourage active patient participation to enhance the patient/provider/staff relationship. The Patient Engagement Manager works closely with clinical teams, operations, and external partners to ensure effective implementation of engagement programs that meet the needs of diverse patient populations. This position does not have staff reporting relationships.

Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in healthcare, public health, business administration, or a related field - Required
  • Master's Degree in healthcare, public health, business administration, or related field - Preferred
Certifications/Licensure:
  • Care for the Caregiver - Required
  • Certification in Patient Engagement or Healthcare Administration - Preferred
Skills:
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with patients, clinical teams, and stakeholders.
  • Facilitation and presentation skills; knowledge of digital health tools, patient portals, and platforms.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on results.
  • Compassionate and empathetic, with a patient-focused approach to care and a genuine interest in improving patient outcomes.
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment; familiarity with patient satisfaction surveys, feedback mechanisms, and data analysis tools; knowledge of relevant regulations and standards (HIPAA, Patient Rights, Grievances).
Experience:
  • 3-5 years of patient/customer engagement or Healthcare Administration experience - Preferred
Work Details:

Work Shift: Exempt Days (Mon-Fri) (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$46.10 - $69.13 hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH listed as exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes. The work shift will include the word 'exempt'.
