Job summary

Sentara Princess Anne Hospital in Virginia Beach is seeking a Patient Dining Associate to support patient meal service on assigned units and ensure timely delivery of meals.

You will communicate patient food concerns to Food & Nutrition Services, assist dietitians with patients on NPO and modified diets, and help maintain accuracy of diets and patient satisfaction on the units.

Prior experience in food service or restaurant settings is preferred, with competitive pay and benefits included.

Qualifications

• Prior restaurant/waitress/server experience preferred.
• Prior food serving/dining service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for patient meal service on assigned units.
• Communicates patient food issues/concerns to Food & Nutrition Services and interacts with Nursing regarding patient nutrition needs.
• Assist dietitian with monitoring of patients on NPO, clear liquid and full liquid diets and records food intake.
