Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is seeking a Nutrition Assistant to support high-quality, safe food service for patients and staff.

You will prepare and deliver meal trays, assist in food preparation, and ensure strict cleanliness and food safety standards. Qualifications include at least 1 year of food service or customer service experience, with Texas Food Handler Permit or ServSafe certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of Food Service or Customer Service Experience.
• Food Handler Permit: TX, within 30 Days or ServSafe Certification, within 30 Days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver meal trays and assist with cooking.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure food safety compliance.
• Interact with patients regarding dietary needs and provide excellent service.
• Assist with various duties such as cashiering, serving in retail area, and tray assembly as needed.
• Follow guidelines to ensure proper portioning and appealing presentation.
• Support inventory and general cleaning of equipment and work areas.
