Job summary

HSHS Rehabilitation is seeking a Food Services Worker to support patient meal service and nourishment needs. You will take patient menu requests, communicate dietary information to kitchen staff, and ensure correct diets and supplements are provided, while maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

The role focuses on accurate tray preparation, timely delivery, and collaboration with nursing and dietary teams to support patient care. Full-time schedule with rotating weekends may apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior food service or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing and great interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Accurately prepare food trays for general and therapeutic diets; verify trays.
• Prepare and deliver items such as trays or snacks to patient care units.
• Deliver/collect daily menus and assist patients with ordering.
• Record meal intakes of patients and maintain neat work areas.
• Wash dishes, clean equipment, and sanitize trays and utensils.
• Identify and participate in process improvements to enhance the patient experience.
