Job summary

AdventHealth Lenexa City Center is seeking a Food and Nutrition Services Attendant (PRN) to support patient meal service, order meals via diet office systems, and ensure adherence to therapeutic diets. The role involves tray assembly, timely delivery, and collaboration with nurses and dietitians to enhance patient satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, healthcare or food service experience, and strong customer service skills; ServSafe certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Experience in food service, healthcare, hospitality, customer service or patient service preferred.
• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists patients with meal ordering using computerized diet office systems.
• Guides patients through menu selections ensuring adherence to prescribed diets.
• Assembles patient meal trays according to therapeutic diet standards.
• Delivers meals accurately and timely with patient identification verification.
• Rounds on patients to evaluate meal satisfaction and address concerns.
• Maintains cleanliness and organization of work areas and equipment.
• Stocks supplies and maintains inventory within assigned areas.
