Job summary

Kaleida Health is seeking a part-time Food and Nutrition Aide at Buffalo General Medical Center to ensure the quality and timely delivery of patient trays. You will provide diet information materials, distribute diet-specific menus, and explain the room service process to patients, visitors and staff.

Requires a High School Diploma and at least one year in customer service with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum one year in a customer service focused position.
• Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the quality, order accuracy and timely delivery of patient trays.
• Provide basic "Information About Your Diet" education materials, distribute diet specific menu, and explain room service program/ordering process.
• If patient is unable to select, take appropriate measures for patient to have select menu.
• Complete floor stock and any dietary related needs for their assigned unit.
• High communication level with patient, visitor and hospital staff.
