Qualifications

• 1 year of foodservice and/or long term care experience.
• High school diploma; ability to read, write, speak and comprehend.
• Ability to follow and give written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills including IPAD/tablet use.
• Understanding of diet principles, food preparation and cooking methods.
• Experience with computerized diet office systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Use an iPad to enter meal orders and communicate menu choices to patients.
• Serve patient meals according to dietary restrictions and physician guidance.
• Review each patient’s records before distributing meals or snacks.
• Collect trash and food remnants from patient rooms.
• Promote high levels of quality and service.
• Ensure proper food and sanitation standards to comply with regulations.
• Maintain positive and professional working relationships.
• Perform other duties as necessary.
