Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN is seeking a Food and Nutrition Aide to build rapport with patients and families, present menus, and guide meal selections. You will use QR technology to view menus, document dietary needs, and coordinate with clinical staff to ensure accurate, timely meal delivery.

Responsibilities include preparing trays, delivering meals, and maintaining a clean, safe dining area while upholding HIPAA and patient confidentiality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months of high-volume food service experience preferred.
• Experience with therapeutic diets in healthcare is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients to present and discuss the printed menu and explain QR code viewing.
• Explain meal ordering and delivery processes to patients and families.
• Highlight daily Chef's Special and Always Available options.
• Document diet preferences and allergies in MyDining.
• Refer nutrition concerns to the Clinical Dietitian and non-nutrition issues to nursing.
• Explain menu options and key ingredients to patients and staff.
• Maintain patient satisfaction through responsive service and teamwork.
• Prepare, deliver, and recover patient trays per meal tickets using MyDelivery.
• Follow HIPAA and confidentiality policies and dress code requirements.
• Provide coverage for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
