Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is hiring Patient Dining Associates (Dietary Aide) for the Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest location in Mayfield Heights, OH. Both part-time and full-time openings are available.

Shifts run 6am-2pm, 12pm-8pm, and 3/4pm-8/9pm, with some weekends and holidays. Job duties include helping patients with menu selections, assembling and delivering meals, and ensuring accuracy and timeliness while following HIPAA, HACCP, and other safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and push food delivery carts.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional requirements.
• Determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, or cultural/religious preferences.
• Assemble meals according to patient selections and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Comply with federal, state and JCAHO standards and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and maintaining clean work areas.
• Follow infection control policies and department procedures.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate problems or concerns to the appropriate personnel in a timely manner.
• Complete daily, weekly or monthly reports as required by Morrison Healthcare policies.
• Adhere to health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
