Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on healthcare units, assisting with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are vital to ensuring patient safety and satisfaction by delivering accurate meals promptly and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist patients with menu understanding and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
2. Work with the culinary team to accommodate food allergies, cultural preferences, and special requests.
3. Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and efficiently, retrieving trays from patient rooms at scheduled times.
4. Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
5. Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and cleaning.
6. Adhere to infection control policies.
7. Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
8. Report problems or concerns promptly.
9. Complete required reports as per policies.
10. Follow health, sanitation, and safety regulations.
11. Perform other duties as assigned.
