Location: Ballad Health Johnson City Medical Center - 400 North State of Franklin Road, Johnson City, TN 37604. Note: online applications accepted only.

Requirement: Prior food service experience is required.

Pay Rate: $20.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients in understanding their menu options and coordinate with nursing to ensure dietary needs are met.
• Work with the culinary team to accommodate food allergies, cultural preferences, and special requests.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly.
• Comply with regulatory standards, confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
• Communicate concerns to appropriate personnel promptly.
• Complete required reports and adhere to sanitation regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
