Job Description: Patient Dining Associate/Dietary Aide at Morrison Healthcare

Morrison Healthcare is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time Patient Dining Associate/Dietary Aide positions located at Mayo Clinic, 1025 Marsh Street, Mankato, MN 56001. Online applications are accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time (11:00 am to 7:30 pm) and part-time (3:00 pm to 8:30 pm or 4:00 pm to 8:30 pm), with rotating weekends and holidays. Details will be provided during the interview.

Requirements: Prior patient dining experience is preferred.

Pay Rate: $18.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work in healthcare facilities, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are committed to patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Assist patients with understanding menu options and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
2. Work with the culinary team to accommodate food allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
3. Manage tray tickets, assemble meals accurately, and retrieve trays from patient rooms.
4. Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain patient confidentiality.
5. Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
6. Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
7. Communicate patient concerns promptly to appropriate personnel.
8. Complete required reports and documentation.
9. Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
10. Perform other duties as assigned.
