• We are hiring immediately for full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE positions.
• Location: Piedmont Medical Center - 222 South Herlong Avenue, Rock Hill, SC 29732. Note: online applications accepted only.
• Schedule: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. Rotating weekends required. More details upon interview.
• Requirement: Prior patient dining or dietary aide experience is required.
• Pay Rate: $15.50 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates assist in healthcare settings by helping patients select menus, assemble, deliver, and retrieve meal trays. They play a key role in ensuring patient safety and satisfaction by delivering accurate, timely, and temperature-appropriate meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring dietary restrictions and preferences are respected.
• Coordinate with culinary and caregiving teams to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, cultural, and religious preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals accurately and promptly; retrieve trays from patient rooms.
• Comply with regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Follow HACCP guidelines for food handling and cleanliness.
• Assist dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets or with specific caloric needs.
• Communicate patient concerns to appropriate staff promptly.
• Complete required reports and adhere to sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
