Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and collecting meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction, ensuring meals are accurate, timely, and at the correct temperature.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring dietary needs and restrictions are met.
• Coordinate with culinary and nursing staff on menu options for allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and deliver/collect trays efficiently.
• Adhere to regulatory standards, confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
• Support dietitians with monitoring patients on special diets.
• Report concerns promptly and complete required documentation.
• Follow sanitation and safety regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
