We are hiring immediately for a full-time PATIENT DINING ASSOCIATE/DIETARY AIDE position.

Location: Atrium Health Union - 600 Hospital Drive, Monroe, North Carolina 28112. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; days and hours may vary. Twelve-hour shifts with alternating weekends. More details upon interview.

Requirements: Prior customer service experience preferred.

Job Summary:

Patient Dining Associates work on assigned units, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are part of the caregiving team, ensuring patient safety and satisfaction by delivering accurate meals at the right time and temperature. Essential Duties include:

• Helping patients understand menu options and coordinating with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
• Managing tray tickets and assembling meals accurately and promptly.
• Complying with regulatory standards, confidentiality, and HIPAA policies.
• Following HACCP guidelines for food handling and sanitation.
• Assisting dietitians with monitoring special diets.
• Communicating patient concerns promptly.
• Completing required reports and adhering to health and sanitation regulations.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to lift or move up to 100 pounds and maneuver carts.
