Job Description: Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide)

Location: Arkansas Children's Hospital - 1 Children's Way, Little Rock, AR 72202. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full-time; open availability preferred. Hours may vary, details upon interview.

Pay Rate: $15.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates assist on healthcare units, helping patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They are vital to patient safety and satisfaction by ensuring meals are accurate and timely.

Responsibilities
  1. Assist patients with menu choices and coordinate with nursing to meet nutritional needs.
  2. Work with the culinary team to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and cultural preferences.
  3. Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and retrieve trays efficiently.
  4. Follow regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
  5. Adhere to HACCP guidelines and infection control policies.
  6. Support dietitians in monitoring special diets.
  7. Report problems promptly and complete required documentation.
  8. Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
  9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
