Job Summary

Patient Dining Associates work in healthcare facilities, assisting patients with menu selections, assembling, delivering, and retrieving meal trays. They ensure meals are accurate, timely, and meet safety standards, contributing to patient satisfaction and safety.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist patients with menu choices, ensuring compliance with nutritional needs.
• Coordinate with nursing and culinary teams to accommodate allergies, sensitivities, and preferences.
• Manage tray tickets, assemble meals, and retrieve trays on schedule.
• Follow regulatory standards, including HIPAA, and maintain confidentiality.
• Adhere to HACCP guidelines and infection control policies.
• Assist dietitians in monitoring patients on special diets.
• Report issues promptly and complete required documentation.
• Comply with health and sanitation regulations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and math skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and maneuver food carts.
