Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, seeks a Patient Dining Associate (Dietary Aide) for 1-1 full-time schedule at HSHS St. Johns Springfield, IL. You will assist patients with menu selections, assemble meals, and ensure timely delivery while adhering to safety and sanitation protocols.

Ideal candidates have 1 year of related experience, the ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and comfortable with English literacy, basic computing, and teamwork with nursing and culinary staff.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and interpret documents in English.
• Basic computer and mathematical skills.
• Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 100 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Help patients understand their menu selections and ensure orders meet nutritional requirements or restrictions.
• Work with caregivers and culinary team to determine menu alternatives for allergies, sensitivities, and preferences.
• Manage tray tickets and assemble meals according to each patient’s menu selection; retrieve trays at assigned times.
• Comply with HIPAA and confidentiality policies and procedures.
• Follow HACCP guidelines when handling food and cleaning work stations.
