Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to operate hospital admission, discharge and transfer systems and other computer-based systems, which manage patient-care records.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and calculations.
• Prior hospital food service experience.
• Knowledge of modified diet restrictions for patient meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, deliver, and oversee direct meal service to patients, staff and guests.
• Take inventory, stock supplies, and maintain records.
• Assist with menu review and ensure diet prescriptions are followed.
• Collaborate with Nursing to meet patient dietary needs and diet records.
• Support Dietitian in monitoring diets for NPO or calorie-counted patients.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and work areas.
