Job summary

Aramark is seeking Patient Services Workers to manage patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. You will act as a liaison between the patient, the Food and Nutrition Services Department, and Nursing Services, delivering trays and nourishments to patients in a timely manner.

You will collect preferences, communicate needs, ensure diet care orders are followed, and maintain sanitation, temperature logs, and stock levels. English proficiency is required; bilinguals welcome.

Responsibilities

• Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service. Delivers nourishments and snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian.
• Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
• Ensures that nutrition diet care orders are provided to the patient by offering appropriate menu selections.
• Maintains sanitation standards by following cleaning schedules and completing assigned tasks.
• Inventories and restocks pantries, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
• Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance when needed.
• Assists clinical staff in meeting patients' basic nutrition care needs.
