CommonSpirit Health's St. Rose Dominican, San Martín Campus in Las Vegas invites you to join as a Nutrition Assistant.

You will assist in delivering high-quality food services to patients and staff, preparing and delivering meal trays, and supporting with food preparation while maintaining safety and cleanliness. You will interact with patients about dietary needs, ensuring proper portioning and appealing presentation, and escalating issues to leadership as needed.

Formación

• One (1) year of food service experience.
• High School GED General Studies or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Food Handler Permit: Nevada, within 30 Days

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and serves food within guidelines of menu and dietary requirements using required kitchen utensils and equipment.
• Maintains knowledge of recipe ingredients to respond to food allergy questions or requests.
• Follows healthcare food service industry standards, regulations, guidelines and procedures including monitoring and maintaining food temperatures.
• Avoids cross-contamination and adheres to personal hygiene requirements.
• Maintains proper labeling of food products and ensures storage of food equipment, and machinery per regulations.
• Ensures proper meal portioning and an aesthetically pleasing presentation.
• Provides service recovery efforts and escalates to leadership as needed.
• Following therapeutic diet modifications and guidelines including allergy restrictions for patient meals and snacks.
• Printing, providing and following production tool for food preparation
• Explaining basic therapeutic diet orders and menus to patients and family members.
